Wine Review: This white gold colored Champagne from Louis Roederer displays lots of random small streaming bubbles. It opens with a with a gentle brioche and faint lime bouquet with a hint of almond and chalk dust. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round and refined. The flavor profile is a very tasty gentle lime and green tea blend with notes of saline and bread dough. We also detected some hints of ginger and green apple as well. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely prolonged before drifting away. The Tasting Panel would pair this food friendly Champagne with broiled scallops or fried oysters. Enjoy – KWGTP
