Wine Review: This Malbec from La Posta was one of the best values to emerge from our big blind tasting. It is slightly opaque and dark ruby colored. It opens with an attractive ripe red currant bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, smooth, and shows no edges. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant with a touch of oak, dark chocolate, and plum. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins fade away nicely. This is a good food wine and the panel suggested beef bourguignon or Kobe sliders. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful red-purple color with aromas of black cherries, dark fruits, dark chocolate and baker's spice. On the palate, the wine shows dense dark berry and plum flavors along with hints of sandalwood and spice, and even a hint of violets in the finish. Goes great with everything from hamburgers and chicken to pizza and mild cheeses.
