Wine Review: This brick red colored Pinot opens with a black currant and red cherry bouquet with a hint of old oak and tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, lush, and round. The flavor profile is plum with notes of cherry and hints of mild oak, strawberry, and anise. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins are nicely prolonged. The panel suggested serving this wine with pork chops with apple chutney or lamb chops with a mint sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This intensely aromatic wine displays sage, rosemary, pine duff with a touch of leather. A gentle entry of red currant, cocoa powder, and tamari evolves to an earthiness and cinnamon stick. The palate layers textures of mountain tannins entwined with velvety malolactic notes. With time in opened bottle, the wine displays more red fruit and spice characteristics. A structured, Old-World-style Pinot, this offering will further appreciate with cellar time
