Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Cab from Kuleto opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of black currant and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a black currant and oak blend with a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins are nicely prolonged. This Cab would pair well with a thick marbled ribeye. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Kuleto Estate Cabernet is a deep red-black color. Aromas of black plum skins, toasted oak, and tar are the first to emerge. With just a little air, those of cassis and red licorice become dominant. This is a very fresh and youthful wine that hits all corners of the mouth and palate. The fruit flavors are very pure, and the tannins are focused, linear, and very long. As with all of our wines, decanting an hour before enjoying will only improve the experience.
