Wine Review: This ruby colored Zin opens with a mild boysenberry bouquet with a hint of raspberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and palate coating. The flavor profile is a tasty black raspberry with notes of blueberry and oak. The finish is quite dry and its building tannins are quite lengthy. This Zin would be a wonderful choice with a ribeye steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The three clones of Zinfandel at Kuleto Estate are planted between 1200 and 1400 feet on the property. They produce fruit that is intensely varietal but without the monstrous tannins often associated with mountaintop Zinfandel. We add small amounts of Sangiovese and Syrah to provide extra acidity and basal fruit tones respectively. The finished wine is dark, meaty, spicy, and weighty. It is a fruit-laden beauty that is just beginning to show what it is made of. - Dave Lattin, Winemaker
