Wine Review: This very dark purple and opaque Shiraz from the Barossa Valley is impressive! It opens with a mild blueberry bouquet with hints of smoky oak and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild blackberry with notes of oak and hints of plum, blueberry, and vanilla. It was quite complex. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins show great length. The panel really liked this Shiraz. They suggested pairing it with duck breast, braised short ribs or a veal chop. Enjoy - KWGTP
