Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Shiraz from Kilikanoon opens with a blackberry and blueberry bouquet with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, silky, and lush. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry with notes of blueberry and oak. The finish is dry and its building moderate tannins are sticky and show very nice length. I would pair this very tasty Shiraz with braised barbecue short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Bright red in colour with youthful crimson hues. Dark spicy aromas carry over impressively to the palate. Intense flavour notes of licorice, coffee grinds and savoury, black olives marry in with spicy French oak char. Its seamless mouthfeel and textural qualities combining seductively with the quality oak to provide a lingering, fine grained finish.
