Wine Review: This ruby red colored Merlot from KJ opens with a black raspberry and menthol bouquet with a hint of red currant, olive, and pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a black raspberry with notes of oak, dark chocolate and black plum. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are slightly prolonged. The panel suggested pairing this wine with braised short ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Grand Reserve Merlot overflows with rich fruit nuances – black plum, boysenberry and cherry which are enveloped in violet, chocolate and cedar – a superb food partner. Sonoma County Merlot is known for its lovely, smooth rounded tannins.
