Wine Review: This yellow colored Chenin is consistently one of the best Chenin's that I cover each year. This year's vintage opens with a rich banana creme pie bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and creamy. The flavor profile is a delicious mild oak infused pear with a hint of green apple and honey. The finish is pleasant, dry, and refined. I would pair this gem with Chicken St. Timothy. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This iconic Chenin is a benchmark South African bottling, and what Ken Forrester considers to be the ultimate expression of the Chenin Blanc grape. Crafted in a rich, ripe style, it flaunts luscious flavors of honeycomb, dried apricot and pear, with exotic tropical fruit notes and alluring undercurrents of toasted nuts, vanilla and spice.
