Wine Review: This light pink colored Rose from the Finger Lakes opens with a fragrant ripe strawberry and tangerine like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and a rather dry. The flavor profile is a mineral infused tangerine and strawberry blend. The finish is quite dry and its flavors linger for a little while. This is a good summer wine to enjoy on the beach with Ipswich fried clam strips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 "Kelby James Russell" Dry Rose was made to be a fun and crisp wine, ready for immediate enjoyment with food and friends this summer. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc, the grapes were sourced from the Nutt Road Vineyard of Anthony Road Wine Company on the northwest side of Seneca Lake. Filled with intense strawberry, grapefruit, and floral aromas, this Rose was bottled just after the start of the New Year to capture all these flavors and prepare it for a spring release.
