Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Pinotage, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend from South Africa is terrific bargain. It opens with a cranberry, black currant and faint cedar bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and quite juicy. The flavor profile is similar to the nose featuring black currant and black plum with notes of cedar, dark chocolate and graphite. I also detected hints of strawberry and faint cherry-cola towards the very end. The finish is dry and it's noticeable, but reasonable tannins stick around for quite a while. This very good offering would be perfect with grilled steak tips or a juicy burger this summer. Enjoy – Ken and Dave
