Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Chard from Jordan is the best Jordan Chardonnay that I have tried over the last few years. It opens with a fragrant apricot and peach like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, slightly viscous, and blends its acidity in quite well. The flavor profile is a crispy pear and green apple blend. There was a touch of minerality, lime, and spice noted as well. The finish is dry and its tingly tannins are nicely refreshing and linger for quite some time. This Very Good Chard from Jordan would pair perfectly with a chicken piccata. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine was then aged in barrel for 5 months. Minimal malolactic fermentation allowed the wine to retain its natural acidity – a hallmark of Russian River Valley fruit. This acidity contributes to the wine's clean and distinctive finish. On the nose, our 2007 Chardonnay offers multi-layered hints of pear, citrus, kiwi and hawthorn accented by vanilla creme brulee. A creamy palate complemented by ample acidity supports flavors of Fuji apple, pineapple, and Meyer lemon with appealing minerality. This wine has a delicious balance of rich, aromatic fruit and crisp acidity.
