Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Petite Sirah is also slightly opaque. It opens with a mild red currant and red cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a mild black currant with notes of black raspberry and spice. There is also some black pepper mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are dusty and slightly prolonged. This would well with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Petite Sirah, Thompson Vineyard – This is a very big wine. In its fourth vintage, this wine maintains incredible darkness, power, and purity of fruit. This wine has more tannin and is higher in acid than the previous vintage. It has gobs of cherry-berry-dry and black fruit flavors, spice and licorice aromas, and a stick-to-your-lips quality.
