Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored wine from Isole e Olena opens with a fragrant and appealing black cherry and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, lush and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious ripe black cherry with integrated old oak. I also detected some nice minerality as well. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate refined tannins last for a very long time. This gem would be perfect by the fireplace with sharp cheddar cheese. Enjoy – Ken
