Wine Review: This opaque dark purple colored Shiraz opens with a very mild blueberry and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, rich and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a concentrated blackberry and boysenberry blend with nicely integrated vanilla oak. The finish is dry and its fine tannins are gentle and friendly. I would pair this wine with braised barbecue short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Inky dark red, black with purple hue. Aroma is lifted by generous blackberry and logan berry characters, with a hint of licorice, mocha and background of cedary oak. Huge berry fruit, spicy nutmeg and mocha characters fill the palate. The oak is well balanced along with acidity leading to a long finish of persistent fruit, fine grained tannins and cool climate mint notes. A full bodied, warm wine. This full bodied shiraz will complement any red meat dish or white meat with rich sauce.
