Wine Review: This very good Riesling from the Finger Lakes is light gold colored and opens with an Anjou pear and quince bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and tangy. The flavor profile is tasty tart green apple with integrated minerality. The finish is semi-dry and pleasant. I would pair this Riesling with Quiche Lorraine or warm Brie with stone wheat crackers. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The stunning Magdalena Vineyard is the northern most of our three vineyard locations yet consistently features the warmest temperatures across the estate and in the Finger Lakes. An excellent growing season in 2009 served as a beautiful showcase for the vineyard's well rounded characteristics. The brilliant bouquet of fresh citrus and apple leads into a refreshingly fruit forward palate and a lush, bold finish. Food Pairing: Asian cuisine, Chicken, Pork.
