Wine Review: This straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from Napa opens with a fragrant grapefruit bouquet with a hint of green apple. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, and crisp. The flavor profile is a tasty mild yellow grapefruit with nicely integrated gentle minerality. I also detected hints of green apple. The finish is dry and pleasantly refreshing. Its flavors last for quite some time for a Sauvignon Blanc. I would pair this Very Good wine with pan seared scallops. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2010 Heritance Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley is an assemblage of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. This is a classic wine with a beautiful, spun-gold hue, highlighted with tinges of lime green. The nose features a refreshing fruity combination of fresh berry with a touch of tropical and fig fragrances. This is a well-centered wine, that is round across the palate, fleshy and attractive, yet elegant with a long finish.
