Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay from the Russian River opens with a pear bouquet with notes of oak with a hint of pineapple. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and flavorful. The flavor profile is pear with notes of minerality and oak. I also detected nice hints of honey and pineapple throughout. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and lasts for quite some time. This Chard is food friendly and would pair nicely with pasta carbonara. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2015 Hartford Court Russian River Valley Chardonnay offers subtle aromas of jasmine flower, citrus oil, ripe apple and pear. The elegant aromatics are complemented by fresh kiwi, lemon drop and Pippin apple flavors. The fruit-focused mid-palate is followed by subtle mineral notes and a hint of crystallized ginger in the finish.
