Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot opens with a fragrant black raspberry and strawberry like bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and approachable. The flavor profile is a slightly tart red currant and plum blend with integrated old oak and hints of cherry cola. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are rather friendly. This is a Pinot made for food. I would pair it with grilled red snapper. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This vintage of our Anderson Valley blend offers a wide variety of flavors. The aromas are reminiscent of ripe cherry, black cherry, orange peel, carob, Chinese five spice, and a fine layer of minerality. It is complemented on the palate, which offers red plum, black cherry, cocoa, baking spices, silky mid-palate texture and very long finish. The long, silky finish of this Pinot Noir makes it an excellent accompaniment to cheeses such as goat or triple cremes, while the textures complement wild meat dishes, such as lamb, duck, or salmon dishes.
