Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Riesling opens with a faint Granny Smith apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, and displays a pleasant palate presence. The flavor profile is an enjoyable mineral infused Anjou pear. The finish is dry, but not too dry. It lingers nicely for quite sometime. This is a very food friendly Riesling that would pair well with grilled swordfish. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Gustave Lorentz Riesling Reserve has aromas of papaya, mangoes, green apples, and a touch of cinnamon stick shavings to add a slight hint of spice. The palate is light with nice tropical, floral, and mineral tones. Fairly crisp with some citrus / lemon zest / floral hints on the finish.
