Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Pinot Gris opens with a faint apricot bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and displays a very nice blend between its fruit and acidity. The flavor profile is a tasty tangerine with hints of cinnamon and peach. I also detected a touch of minerality. The finish is dry, but not too dry. It leaves a pleasant and refreshing mouthfeel. I would pair this wine with some grilled trout. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Gustave Lorentz Pinot Gris Reserve is light, fresh, dry, with a touch of spice and smokiness. There's good acidity as well as a core of more weighty ripe pear flavors. This Pinot Gris is great with fresh fruits, shellfish, lighter poulty and semi-soft cheeses.
