Wine Review: I can always count on Gloria Ferrer to produce some high quality sparklers year in and year out. This sparkler made from Chardonnay opens with brioche, lemon zest, peaches and bananas on the nose. The palate drinks much like the nose smells with hints of dough, nectarines, hints of lemon custard, and clementines. The medium bubbles break up what could be a heavy sitting wine, making it extremely refreshing and enjoyable. Pairs well with sweeter bay oysters or shrimp scampi. - Nicolay

Winemaker Notes: Opens up with an enticing orange blossom bouquet, lively bubble trails and fine mousse. On the palate, the wine is creamy, clean and refreshing. Flavors of Granny Smith apples, lemongrass, brioche and vanilla crème resolve with lively mineral notes into a well-balanced finish. This sparkling wine pairs well with seared scallops, baked halibut, and fresh oysters. For cheese, pair alongside a rich Brie or soft goat cheese
