Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Champagne opens with a honey and bread dough like bouquet with some nutty hints. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, flabby and balanced. The flavor profile is a mineral infused strawberry with hints of walnuts and tangerine. The finish is dry and its flavors and a bit of acidity linger after the wine is gone. The panel suggested pairing this Champagne with steamed mussels or bacon wrapped stripped bass. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: In 1882, the House of G.H.MUMM acquired vines in Cramant, one of the finest growing areas on the Cote des Blancs. Its chalky soil lends itself to the cultivation of Chardonnay grapes so fine as to make a wine from a single grape variety. Born of a single variety and a single vineyard, for a long time the vintage was set aside for friends of the House. In keeping with the etiquette of the time, it was handed over in person , accompanied by a carefully folded visiting card.
