Wine Review: This yellow colored Chard made a nice impression on the panel. It opens with an apple bouquet with a hint of honey. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and crisp. The flavor profile is a slightly tart green apple with notes of honey cashew and a touch of lemon. The finish is dry and its pleasant acidity is refreshing. The panel suggested this wine would pair well with chicken cordon bleu or grilled lemon thyme chicken. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Ovation is intended to be a rich, full-bodied, unctuous Chardonnay with Sonoma Coast typicity. The wine is crisp and vibrant with a firm backbone of acidity, but the mid-palate offers up a richness that comes as a surprise. Aromas of citrus peel and white flower petals followed by flavors of Meyer lemon curd, apricot, melon and creamy oak create a wine that will please the palate with a mouthful of flavor, spice and fresh acidity.
