Wine Review: This pale straw colored Dry Riesling from Frankland Estate opens with a flinty petrol and faint pear like bouquet with a hint of apple. On the palate, this wine is light bodied and nicely balanced between its gentle acidity and delicate fruit. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused green apple with notes of Anjou pear and hints of lemon and ginger. The finish is dry and pleasant. The Panel suggested pairing this food friendly Dry Riesling from Australia with baked scrod or a pork roast. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Pale straw in color, Frankland Estate's Isolation Ridge Riesling is complex and highly perfumed with alluring lime blossom, kaffir lime and talcum powder notes, backed up by spicy, mineral undertones. The palate is soft and approachable, with intense, tightly-interwoven citrus-lemon flavors and vibrant lime-infused acidity, complimented by silky-textures. Its power and intensity is balanced by a fragile delicacy and lightness of touch that persists through to the long, refreshing finish. Our Riesling is ideally served chilled and is a perfect accompaniment for a wide range of foods including seafood and lightly-spiced appetizers and first courses.
