Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend from the Finger Lakes opens with a dark chocolate cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a plum and oak blend with hints of black cherry and faint minerality. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. While not complex, this wine is versatile and food friendly. I would pair this wine with a bacon burger. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Leather, blackcurrants, anise, black pepper, blackberry jam, nutmeg and cedar all vie for attention in the nose. This wine displays a rich and soft mouthfeel and balanced tannins. Look for an intriguing smokiness on the finish.
