Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Syrah opens with blueberry bouquet with a hint of plum and vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and displays nice palate coverage. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry with hints of plum, black raspberry and old oak. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are sticky and linger for quite some time. This Syrah would pair well with tangy pulled pork sliders. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: From our Estate vineyards this wine expresses the unique characteristics of our rocky soils and higher elevation in our Syrah block. A blend of three clones: Noir, and Phelps 01 & 07 each of them adding to a fruit forward highly structured and long finishing wine. This wine is a promising candidate for early enjoyment or extended cellar aging.
