Wine Review: This straw colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is a very good value wine. It opens with a very fragrant yellow grapefruit and tangerine like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely acidic, mouthwatering and crisp. The flavor profile is a tart ripe yellow grapefruit with hints notes of integrated minerality. I also detected hints of white pepper and tangerine. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors linger for quite a while. This wine would pair nicely with popcorn shrimp. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A lifted nose showing aromas of passion fruit, white peach and kiwi fruit with refreshing herbal and mineral notes. Light-bodied and refreshing with typical Marlborough flavours of passion fruit, gooseberry and grapefruit. A pleasing herbaceous thread leads to a long lingering finish. An ideal wine with seafood or chicken dishes and fresh summer salads.
