Wine Review: This cloudy midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Etude opens with a black currant and black coffee bouquet with hints of anise, Play-doh, pencil shavings, and leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, rich, and fresh. The flavor profile is a concentrated black currant and black licorice blend with notes oak, graphite, and black olive. We also detected hints of black tea and Baker’s chocolate. The finish is dry, and its moderate polished tannins show nice length. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a New York strip steak or with a seared duck breast. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This delicious Cabernet Sauvignon is full of perfumed, ripe, dark berry fruit with layers of macerated blackberry, black cherry, dark plum, and black currant. Notes of Madagascar vanilla, cardamom, and allspice pay tribute to the well-integrated, subtle oak. Plush and rich with velvety, mouth-coating tannins, the finish is long and multi-layered, showcasing the exquisite balance and complexity of this intriguing Cabernet. Beautiful upon release and able to cellar for many years to come.
