Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Cab from Argentina was recommended from one of our blind flights of affordable Cabs. It opens with a eucalyptus and cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a blend of mild black cherry and black currant that is gently infused with old oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are pleasant and show generous length for a wine at this price point. This is a Very Good wine. It is very food friendly and it would pair well with Theresa’s meatloaf or veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The classic Cabernet aromas of black pepper, cedar, slight herbal and berry notes are evident in the nose. This is a medium-to-full bodied wine with a soft, balanced mouth feel and flavors that are similar to the aromas. All the above lead to a pleasing, soft, berry-vanilla finish.
