Wine Review: This pale yellow Pinot Gris from Oregon is consistently one of my favorites. It opens with an attractive peach and mild apricot bouquet. On the palate this wine is medium bodied, slightly viscous and shows pleasant acidity. The flavor profile is tangerine with notes of mild minerality and hints of apricot and green pear. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors linger for quite some time after the wine is gone. This Pinot Gris would be prefect with grilled swordfish. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2010 Elk Cove Vineyards Pinot Gris gives sweet and unctuous aromatics while showing crispness on the palate with vibrant citrus and grapefruit. True to Elk Cove Vineyards' style, a rich mouthfeel leads to a full and satisfying balanced finish. Drink this lovely white wine as an aperitif or with a variety of food pairings from salmon and main-course salads to Asian and Thai influenced dishes.
