Wine Review: This pale straw colored Spatlese from Eifel Pfeiffer is very very good. It opens with a fragrant golden raisin and ginger ale like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, nicely balanced, and delicately sweet. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild ginger and light lemon tea blend. I also detected hints of quince. The finish is pleasantly sweet and fades away nicely. This Riesling would pair nicely with chicken lo-mein. Enjoy – Ken
