Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Late Harvest Zin opens with a mild spicy blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and refined. The flavor profile is a tasty rich plum and boysenberry blend with hints of spice and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and shows a touch of delicate sweetness. This wine is extremely approachable and elegant compared to many Late Harvest Zins. It is food friendly and versatile. It would pair well with many foods and is not just limited to dessert. I would serve this wine with mini pulled pork sliders. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Raspberries and cinnamon spice forms the core of the aromatics with slight volatile acidity brightening up the overall aromas and adding a zing to the finish, which is sweet on entry but ends with mouthwatering acidity. Underlying aromas of nectarines and peaches match the stone fruit flavors on the palate and the peach pit finish. The aftertaste is long lasting and makes you want another sip. A refreshing late harvest wine that would be great with cheese plates and dark chocolate bars.
