Wine Review: This deep yellow colored Chardonnay from Dutton Estate opens with a gentle oak and pear bouquet with a hint of nutmeg. On the palate, it is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and bright. The flavor profile is a poached pear and light pineapple blend with notes of lemon and chalky minerality. I also detected some hints of oak, green tea, and nutmeg mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for a while. I would pair this versatile Chard with a creamy lemon garlic pan seared scallops. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Opening with beautiful citrus and hints of creamy lemon curd, this wine immediately entices the senses. The citrus notes are present on the palate along with crisp golden delicious apple and pear with baking spices like nutmeg on the long finish. The most intriguing bit of our Kyndall's Reserve is balanced acidity and creamy mouth feel despite the rich fruit notes. This acidity keeps this wine bright and food friendly, resulting in a medium-bodied chardonnay that would pair wonderfully with most seafood and white meat, like shrimp in a citrus glaze or a salad loaded with sliced apples or peaches.
