Wine Review: This straw colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a fragrant grapefruit bouquet with hints tangerine, wet stone and lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, crisp, acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused yellow grapefruit with notes nectarine and Anjou pear. The finish is dry, refreshing and lingers for a very long time. This Sauvignon Blanc would pair well with seared scallops with blood orange-shallot sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dry Creek Vineyard was the first winery to plant Sauvignon Blanc in the Dry Creek Valley, and this wine epitomizes our expertise in growing this wonderfully diverse varietal. At first swirl, the 2013 vintage presents effusive aromatics of honeydew melon, cantaloupe and mango. There are also underlying layers of citrus and a sense of depth and vibrancy that make this wine extremely pleasing. On the palate, the wine is invigorating with fresh lemon-lime, kiwi and grapefruit notes. We blend in 9% Sauvignon Musque, a unique clonal selection of Sauvignon Blanc, which adds additional layers of tropical fruit and a fleshy, full-bodied mouthfeel. Simply delicious from start to finish!
