Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a unique carnation like bouquet with a faint hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a mineral infused mild pineapple. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. This food friendly wine would pair well with steamed mussels. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Fume Blanc is crisp, bright, and refreshing: three words that have captured the style of our Sauvignon Blanc since 1972. Classic aromas of lemonlime, melon, and subtle mineral notes lead to flavors of grapefruit and lemon zest with grassy nuances. A balanced and delicious wine perfect as an aperitif or first course – it is the quintessential summertime sipper.
