Wine Review: This light yellow colored Riesling was our clear favorite in our first blind mini tasting. It opens with a pear like bouquet. On the palate, this Riesling is full bodied, well balanced, and is very creamy. The flavor profile is a delicious apricot and pineapple blend. The finish is nicely sweet and quite refreshing. The panel felt this wine would be perfect with melon wrapped in prosciutto or some sliced green apples with an assorted cheese plate. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Wehlen's "Sundial" vineyard produces the quintessential Mosel Riesling: delicate and refined, with a racy minerality. The Spatlese ("late harvest") designation means the grapes are picked very ripe, resulting in a wine with a rich texture and deep flavors. This wine has a fine fruitiness that is balanced exquisitely by crisp Mosel acidity.
