Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Riesling was described by the panel as a terrific poolside summer sipper. It opens with a very faint green apple and apricot like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and viscous. The flavor profile is a tasty blend of ripe green apple and sweet peach with a touch of minerality and honey on the back end. The finish is very refreshing. The panel would pair this wine with coconut shrimp or teriyaki chicken. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This precipitously steep, rocky vineyard consistently yields some of the most elegant and sophisticated white wines in the world. The mineral-rich blue Devonian slate soil gives Wehlener Sonnenuhr (pronounced VAY-len-er ZON-en-ooer) wines a crisp acidity that perfectly balances the pure peach and lemon fruit. Extremely pure, unoaked flavors and low alcohol make it ideal for today’s fresher, more vibrant cuisine. It’s an aristocratic and charming wine that dances gracefully on the palate.
