Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Riesling opens with a musty green pear bouquet with notes of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, soft, and sweet. The flavor profile is a very tasty lemon iced tea with notes of tangerine and a touch of apricot. The finish is pleasantly sweet and gentle. This Riesling from Dr. Pauly is very elegant and food friendly. Pair it with spinach salad with poached pear and Great Hill blue cheese. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Bernkasteler alte Badstube am Doctorberg is the prime vineyard of Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler. It is only 4 acres in size. This Riesling Kabinett has a bouquet of ripe apricot, with spicy and exotic notes. A well integrated acidity with Golden Delicious notes. It is the ideal partner for delicate foods. Try this Riesling with escalope of veal, shellfish or shrimps.
