Wine Review: This yellow colored Riesling was well received by our panel. It opens with a wet stone and mild peach like bouquet with hints of dried apricot. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very viscous, and really coats all of your mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty apple and apricot blend with notes of honey. The finish is semi-dry. The panel suggested that this wine would nicely compliment pork with cranberry and wild rice. For dessert, peach cobbler would be an excellent match. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The Bernkasteler alte Badstube am Doctorberg Riesling Auslese is a vivacious wine, bursting with aromas and flavors of honey, citrus and apricot, extremely concentrated and focused, even overwhelming today. A heavier style of Riesling. It has a great aging potential – leave it for another 30+ years or drink it now as a classical dessert wine.
