Wine Review: This light yellow colored Kabinett level Riesling opens with a mild pear with a hint of wet stone. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, acidic and shows moderate sweetness. The flavor profile is a tart green apple with notes of lime and minerality. The finish is remains sweet and its flavors stick around for a little while after the wine is gone. Pair this wine with chicken and shrimp paella. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2010 vintage in the Mosel was supercharged with full ripeness, astonishing acidity and dense mineral extract. It’s as if nature turned up the volume on every component of the wine. The 2010 Bernkasteler Lay Kabinett has an extraordinarily deep and complex aroma of peach and citrus. The extremely ripe (but not overripe) fruit gives it a dense, mouth-filling texture and the brilliant acidity produces a long, juicy finish.
