Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Spatlese from Dr. Loosen opens with a mild and attractive peach bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and graceful. The flavor profile is a mild peach with notes of apple and touch of minerality. The finish is pleasantly sweet and it lingers slightly. This offering would pair well with baked ham with a brown sugar glaze. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2009 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese is extremely fine and bright, as you would expect, but with dense, concentrated fruit and a liveliness that is positively kinetic. The texture has a seductive silkiness to it that is full-bodied, yet playful and delicate.
