Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored Riesling opens with flinty bouquet with hints of lime and tangerine in the background. On the palate, this wine is slightly sweet, lively and shows pleasant acidity. The flavor profile is a ripe apple with integrated minerality and hints of green pear and lime. The finish remains slightly sweet and lingers for quite some time. This Riesling would pair well with chicken lo mein. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Vineyard typicity is the hallmark of the 2009 vintage. This 2009 Kabinett has the intense fruit and forceful minerality that is a signature of the Bernkasteler Lay vineyard. It is beautifully focused, with citrus and green apple in the aroma, and a racy crispness on the palate. There’s a firm grip on the mid-palate, delicate length and a lip-smacking finish.
