Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Pinot from Donum opens with an inviting smoky vanilla oak and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very juicy. The flavor profile is a spicy black raspberry with notes of plum and old oak. I also detected some black pepper and black cherry. The finish is dry and its refined fine tannins drift away slowly. This very tasty Pinot would pair perfectly with a broiled pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of cherry, blackberry, and sassafras are joined by notes of lilac, creme-brulee and forest floor. The palate is weighty yet vibrant, with sweet red fruit flavors of cherry and raspberry dominating, joined by notes of plum, baking spice, and charcoal. Firm tannin, a signature of Donum Estate fruit, provides grip, with a vibrant streak of red berry carrying through on the finish. -Kenneth Juhasz, winemaker
