Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah opens with a mild black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle oak infused mild black currant with a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its fine tannins are friendly. I would serve this food friendly Syrah with a filet mignon in the near term. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: 2009 Cuvée Christine presents a seamless and supple side of Syrah. The wine is built around hilltop Syrah from Windsor Oaks Vineyard, which is complemented with specifically selected barrels of our other sources such as Obsidian, Kobler, and Walker Vine Hill. I love the aromatics of the wine, which seem quintessential Syrah with meaty, fruity, and spicy notes layered together. However our pride is also in its balanced, firm mouth feel that entices another sip and another glass…and dare we say another bottle. Please drink with a happy heart.
