Wine Review: This Malbec from Dona Paula may be the best bargain of all the Malbec's we tried. It is very dark ruby colored and opens with a fragrant boysenberry and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and boysenberry blend. There is also a touch of faint oak in the background. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are dusty and stick around for a while. This Malbec really opens up with some air. It would be a perfect choice with a big juicy Angus burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense violet color, plums, black cherries, licorice and dried herbs basket aromas in the nose. Sweet, round and ample in the mouth with a lingering finish.
