Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Dashe is an absolute fruit bomb. It opens with a fragrant pomegranate and red raspberry jam bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very juicy and jammy. The flavor profile is an extracted red currant with notes pomegranate and red raspberry. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors linger for a quite some time. This fruity wine is like a tasty red berry pie. I would drink it solo by the campfire this summer. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Dark reddish-purple. Aroma: Very aromatic spice and floral notes: black pepper, clove, lavender, violets. Initial high tones are followed by dark fruit of black raspberry and black cherry. Taste: Great vibrant flavors of black raspberry, black cherry, and cranberry. Wonderful balance of fruit and acidity, making a very zingy wine. Fruit flavors are followed by a great rush of layered darker flavors of earth, mineral, chocolate, clove spice, long persistent finish of black raspberry and cranberry fruit. Great velvety texture to the midpalate.
