Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a musty old wood and gentle black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a gentle raspberry and tart cherry blend with hints of minerality and faint old oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger slightly. This Zinfandel would pair well with a barbecue bacon burger. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Black-purple, with reddish hues. Aroma: Extremely aromatic lavender and violet notes, mixed with black raspberry and wild cherry fruit. Taste: Black raspberry and wild cherry, with darker notes of chocolate, coffee, and clove. An extremely balanced wine, with good acidity, soft and velvety texture, and a complex finish of wild cherry fruit, raspberry and peppery spice.
