Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Shiraz opens with aromatic and spicy blackberry bouquet with a hint of blueberry and anise. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry jam with nicely integrated oak with hints of black pepper and black raspberry. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors linger, along with it mild tannins. This is a good everyday value Shiraz. I would pair it with grilled barbecue steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The nose is chock-full of fresh blackberries, cherries and dark chocolate sprinkled with spices. The palate is fresh and juicy, ripe red fruits mix with plums, blackcurrant, flowers and a twist of black pepper. The tannins are fine with d’Arenberg’s trademark earthiness helping keep this easy going wine in check
