Wine Review: This slightly opaque dark ruby colored Cab opens with an attractive mild blackberry and menthol bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, shows slightly elevated acidity, and displays savory fruit forward flavors. Those flavors are black cherry, dark chocolate, and coffee with a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its moderate soft tannins are dusty. The panel suggested that this wine would pair best with a ribeye or beef bourguignon in the near term. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Textbook Stephens Estate aromas abound in this offering, with explosive blackberry and blueberry flavors leaping out of the glass. Touches of wild plum, dark raspberry and cocoa dust add to the deep, dark aromas. On the palate the wine is elegant yet powerful, with a cohesive, full bodied entry and very ripe fruit flavors that stay fresh and lively to the finish.
